These companies typically provide you with a container unit that you pack up with your items, and then they will drive to its final location where you can unpack it. Some moving storage companies will offer a broader range of services, and they may even do the packing and transporting for you, and possibly even allow you to store your unit in their container yard. Of course you will have to pay more for the full range of services. Today, there are newer forms of moving storage services that simply deliver a storage unit to wherever you specify, which you can then pack your items into yourself. After that, all you have to do is call the moving storage company, and arrange for transport to its new location or have them store it in their lot.
